Why I built Donkey
Obsidian is great, but two regrets: AI can’t use it, and Electron is heavy.
You like Obsidian, but two regrets: AI can’t get in, and Electron eats memory.
So I rewrote the engine in Rust, kept local Markdown and wikilinks, and let AI work directly via CLI / MCP.
